Field Trips
Another core part of the program is the opportunity for students to visit a real life office and see what it may be like to work in industry. We have partnered with Google, Microsoft, Doordash, Stitch Fix, and others offering an invaluable experience.
How Do We Reach Out to Companies?
Field trip outreach is very similar to sponsorship outreach, so feel free to reference that section as needed. We recommend asking them to hop on a call to discuss more of what you are envisioning. We have also found that any company willing to host us so far has been more than happy to provide lunch and potentially cover transportation costs. It is a great way for companies to support the local community and show they care about diversity in the field, so it goes well both ways. Transportation and specific activities are company-dependent, but there is an example of a field trip schedule below.
