Where We Are Now

Milestones

• CS KickStart at UC Berkeley celebrated its 11th consecutive year in August of 2022 with great success. We were thrilled to have 95 participants join us this year, making it one of our most successful cohorts yet.

• CS Kickstart is on 3 college campuses. CS KickStart has grown significantly since its inception and has expanded its reach beyond UC Berkeley. We have collaborated with two other prestigious universities, the University of Michigan and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, to bring this program to more young women passionate about computer science.

• Over the years, we have served over 1000 girls, building a strong alumni network that continues to thrive. Our alumni have gone on to achieve remarkable success, securing positions at prominent companies such as Google, Microsoft, Dropbox, Apple and many more.

• To support our mission and provide valuable experiences to aspiring women in computer science, we have successfully raised over $200,000 through grants and sponsorships. This generous support has allowed us to continually enhance and expand CS KickStart, ensuring that we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of young women pursuing careers in technology.

As we reflect on our accomplishments in 2022, we remain committed to empowering and inspiring the next generation of female computer scientists through CS KickStart. We eagerly anticipate future growth, continued collaboration with esteemed institutions, and the opportunity to positively shape the field of computer science.
